One takeaway I will use immediately from W506 is Gmath and Flubaroo. I am always looking for new ways to assess students quickly and give them feedback quickly. I love how you can add graphs and math symbols quickly to Google Docs, Forms, Slides, etc with Gmath. I also like how Flubaroo can be used to grade, give teachers instant data, and email results to students. This will be two tools I will use immediately in my class.
I think about all of the tools I have been exposed to in my tech classes. I know have a great collection of tools I can use in my classroom and share with other teachers. I need to continue to put my entire collection together by categories with comments about each one, so I can continue to use them and share them with my entire staff.
Some of the tools I have found have already transformed my teaching while others will as I get more time to implement them. I have found some great help videos that I now show to students. I also discovered several tools I know use to help me flip my class from time to time. I have also started thinking more about the SAMR model and finding real purposes for technology and not just replacing an old task with technology. All of these ideas have come from learning new tools and strategies from the technology courses at IUS.
